The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the overall financial direction of the clinical enterprise and will serve as the senior financial executive and Compliance Officer for Samaritan Healthcare.
The scope includes Accounting, Financial Planning, Budgeting, Revenue Cycle, Supply Chain, Information Services and Compliance. The CFO will assure successful accomplishment of the financial goals and objectives of the District. The CFO will support long and short term operational initiatives to meet the strategic direction of the clinical enterprise to insure an S & P "BBB+" rating. Samaritan is organized as a public hospital district. The CFO must be familiar with, understand and apply the unique aspects of public hospital district regulation to the work of the organization. Integrity and ethical behavior must be uncompromising in order to ensure personal and organizational compliance with federal and state laws related to privacy, security, confidentiality, fraud and abuse. This leadership position requires an experienced, team-oriented executive capable of working effectively in a collaborative, respectful way to help lead change and deliver results. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting. Master’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred. Seven or more years of Accounting/Finance experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Five or more years of supervisory experience. Certified Public Accountant or equivalent preferred. Basic Life Support Heartsaver (HS) level to be completed within three (3) months of hire.
