Job Description

Under the guidance of the Chief Operating Officer, the Business Development and Physician Recruitment Director will develop and maintain relationships with area business and industry leaders and work in conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer, and other regional stakeholders to develop programs and services to meet their needs. The Director will develop and coordinate a comprehensive physician recruitment program ensuring an adequate complement of physicians and APC’s based on the needs and goals of the organization and medical staff. Major responsibilities include: create and build business relationships related to the development of new services; with key stakeholders, lead the development of the business plans for new services and the physician recruitment program including service line and program components, communication plan, budget and pricing; organizing and analyzing qualitative and quantitative clinical, financial, operational, and administrative data to support the service line both internally and externally. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related degree required and Master's degree strongly preferred. Five+ years progressive leadership roles in healthcare services preferred. Strong knowledge of worker’s compensation. Experience in developing and expanding business relationships. Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities to advance services to meet the occupational health needs of business and industry. Knowledge and experience in developing budgets and general accounting. Must have extensive knowledge of medical and health-related fields, as well as a specific understanding of clinical documentation and coding/billing concepts. Demonstrated organizational, analytical, troubleshooting skills, and ability to think critically. Basic Life Support Heartsaver (HS) level to be completed within three (3) months of hire.
