Job Description

Responsible for administrative leadership for the support areas of Accounting, Business Services, Information Systems, Admitting, Health Information and Materials Management. Under the direction of the CFO, this position is responsible for implementing and maintaining accounting procedures that result in the safeguarding and accountability of assets, providing reliable information and controlling access to assets. Responsible for the annual system-wide budget, the long-term strategic financial plan and information system strategy (computer system) and all auditing requirements of the hospital district. The individual in this position may be asked to assume the duties of the CFO in their absence.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting. Masters degree in Business Administration Preferred. Seven or more years of Accounting/Finance experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Five or more years supervisory experience. Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to the Board, Management Team, Staff and Customers. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (HCP) level to be completed within three (3) months of hire.
