Job Description

This position is responsible for the release of information function in accordance with Federal and State laws, as well as hospital policy and procedure, admission of patients, birth certificate completion, maintaining knowledge and understanding of duties related to the processing of outpatient records, filing, retrieval, archiving, and computer input.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED. Associates degree preferred. One to two-years hospital or medical office release of information experience. Medical terminology preferred. Must be able to operate personal computer, calculator, fax machine, microfiche or microfilm reader/printer, and photocopier. Basic Life Support Heartsaver (HS) level to be completed within six (6) months of hire.
