Job Description

This position is responsible for overseeing the Nutrition Services Department which includes Clinical Nutrition Services, Food Services, (Catering, Patient, and Cafeteria Service). Is responsible for developing personnel from the selection process, through orientation, and ongoing staff development. Develops departmental goals, writes policies and procedures, maintains effective communication between staff and the healthcare organization to facilitate high quality delivery of food and nutrition services. Benchmarks clinical and food services provided, conducts quality improvement studies to improve services in a cost-efficient manner.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in food service management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in a managerial position.Food, nutrition, or food service administration including catering, espresso operations, and cafeteria-related administrative techniques.Current Washington State Food Handler’s permit.Basic Life Support Heartsaver (HS) level to be completed within three (3) months of hire.
