Job Description

This position is responsible for providing physical therapy services to the inpatient population of Samaritan Healthcare to include assessment, treatment and care as well as participating in educational instruction with the patients and patients’ families. The Physical Therapist must be competent in the interpretation of a patient's self-report, behavior and understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process. The treatment of patients should be individualized and should reflect an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each patient.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of a school of physical therapy approved by the State of Washington Physical Therapy Examining Committee. Proof of a valid unexpired and unrevoked license issued by the State of Washington Board of Medical Quality Assurance Division of Allied Health Professionals. Master’s Degree preferred. One year acute care experience preferred. One year of outpatient care experience preferred. Able to evaluate infants, toddlers, pre-school, school age, young, middle-aged adults and geriatric. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (HCP) level to be completed within three (3) months of hire
